Details from the Inside Sculpture Installation
This sculpture installation started with one figure the single girl-being a bride who was then transformed into what you see on this page. Having a deep need to express emotional content in my sculptures and a need to refine the exterior portions of the sculptures lead me to use collage as a means to perform both tasks. The installation took 1 year to complete and keeps growing. The installation consists of narratively collaged tables, chairs, a bar with bar tools, liquor bottles, beer bottles, ash trays, glasses, lighting and mirrors. The bar occupants include the Suddenly Singled girl, an aging women, the bartender and the musician. Each has "baggage".

Suddenly Single
This figure represents the single bar girl. The various collaged images and content messages that I have chosen to cover this figure represents and depicts the details from her inner thoughts. Issues such as not wanted to reinvest her emotional and spiritual energies into another relationship, yet simultaneously being driven by her aloness and feelings of abandonment, to find another person to bond with deeply. The struggle has caused her to withdrawl, which is represented by the lock placed on her mouth.
